Welcome Message


Dear Families of Current and Future WCMS Students,

On behalf of the new PTA board, I would like to welcome you to West Cary Middle School.  While this past year has been anything but normal, I continue to feel hopeful about the great things happening at our school. 

DREAM - Our primary goal this year for the staff is to ensure they feel supported. We increased our hospitality budget to ensure that our WCMS staff feels appreciated in those chaotic moments during the school year.  We will also continue to support professional development opportunities.  To make this happen, please consider volunteering for our PTA so that you can help us support these heroes. 

BELIEVE - We believe that children our are future. This year we are focusing on bringing our library up to date. We will help purge old books that are out of date and buy new books that are more in line with our time. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint and new furniture! ​

ACHIEVE - We celebrate the diversity and acceptance of all members of our WCMS community.  I am thankful to be part of a school where the diverse groups of students AND staff have a goal to make ALL feel welcome.  To make this happen, we encourage you to talk to your child about our unique WCMS community to help our students understand that they are part of a bigger world.

"Dream, Believe, Achieve - Make It Happen" is our school motto.  I know that there is uncertainty, but there is also fellowship.  Please consider joining us on this journey.  Together, we can do amazing things!
